My Summer (and Beyond) Reading Plans

Summer is a wonderful time for reading, whether it is on the backyard patio, a family vacation, or listening to an audiobook while driving, walking or running. This summer, I plan to read books in a variety of genres – historical, biography, leadership, theology, faith and work, etc.

Devotional Reading  I’m using the following resources for my daily devotional reading:

Everyday Gospel: A Daily Devotional Connecting Scripture to All of Life by Paul Tripp

Go Forward in Love: A Year of Daily Readings from Timothy Keller

Things Unseen: One Year of Reflections on the Christian Life by Sinclair Ferguson

The Power of the Gospel: A Year in Romans by R.C. Sproul

Tabletalk Magazine (Ligonier Ministries)

Book Clubs. I am reading two books as part of book clubs for the Coram Deo blog:
Truths We Confess: A Systematic Exposition of the Westminster Confession of Faith by R.C. Sproul

Working Blessedly Forever, Volume 1: The Shape of Marketplace Theology by R. Paul Stevens

New Summer Reading. Here are books I’m looking forward to reading this summer:

A Light on the Hill: The Surprising Story of How a Local Church in the Nation’s Capital Influenced Evangelicalism by Caleb Morell

Big Dumb Eyes: Stories from a Simpler Mind by Nate Bargatze (I plan to listen to the audiobook version of this book, read by the author)

Tim Keller on the Christian Life: The Transforming Power of the Gospel by Matt Smethurst

Why Your Work Matters: How God Uses Our Everyday Vocations to Transform Us, Our Neighbors, and the World by Tom Nelson

Five Mere Christians: Binge-Worthy Biographies That Show You How to Glorify God in Your Work by Jordan Raynor

You Have a Calling: Finding Your Vocation in the True, Good, and Beautiful by Karen Swallow Prior

This is what I’m planning to read this summer and beyond. What is on your summer reading book shelf?
