Announcing the Release of Our Book Use Us Up, Lord! Finishing Well for Our Good and His Glory

We are excited to announce that our new book Use Us Up, Lord!  Finishing Well for Our Good and His Glory is now available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions!

Here’s a description of the book:
We all want to finish well in life. But what does finishing well actually look like? Is it measured by external things like wealth, status, power, prestige, leisure and comfort?  Or is it more like stewardship, sacrifice, serving others and living flat out for God?
Consider this book to be your companion on your journey towards completing a life well-lived. At times the journey will be pleasant, and at other times very hard, but we will walk beside you along the path.
The book will take you from retirement to glory, and what you may encounter along the way. We address subjects such as retirement, stewardship, relationships, calling, learning, being “used up” for the Lord, care for the body, looking back on our lives, loss, suffering, aging, legacy, end-of-life decisions, dying in faith, and more.
At the end of each chapter are helpful “Questions for Reflection” for you to go deeper with the material in that chapter.

Here are a few excerpts from the book’s endorsements:
Use Us Up, Lord! is more than a book about retirement or growing older. It is a biblical invitation to see every remaining season of life as an opportunity to glorify God, serve others, and leave a legacy of faith.
Kirk Billiter
Artist at Vertical Victory Art, and Author of Strike the Flag: The Significance of Surrender in Leading and Serving Others

I have served with Bill on our church’s leadership team together for over 25 years and Bill has been even more impactful in his retirement years than he was in his working years (mostly due to him making himself available to the church and mentoring young men). The advice in this book is not merely academic but comes out of lived experience.  I highly recommend it!

Ruling Elder, Christ Church, PCA

Drawing on the wisdom of respected voices in this field, they have thoughtfully compiled a wealth of ideas and practical suggestions to help those of us who follow Christ, run our race faithfully and finish this side of eternity well – in a manner that honors God and leaves a legacy of eternal value.
Rick McLean
Business owner

This book is a must read for those wondering what’s next after retirement and for those wanting to reflect upon their own life’s journey, wanting to know how they can best be used up working for their own good and His glory!

This engaging book addresses many of life’s fourth quarter issues like retirement, stewardship, relationships, calling, care for the body, assessing our lives, suffering loss, legacy, end of life decisions, dying in faith, and more! If you are searching for the good life in post-retirement to count for God’s glory, Use Us Up, Lord is meant for you.
