Eleven New and Upcoming Albums You Might Be Interested In

I love music in a variety of genres, so here is some new music that I want to share with you:

Sing! The Great Commission World Tour Live – Keith & Kristyn Getty and Friends

A live album has been released from the annual Sing! conference each year since the conferences began in 2017. This is probably my favorite of all of those releases. It is billed as Sing! The Great Commission World Tour Live, as it includes songs from Sing! events in Belfast, Singapore and Sydney, in addition to the Sing! Conference in Nashville.
The album features sixteen songs and two readings, with contributions from Keith and Kristyn Getty, Matt Boswell, Matt Papa, CityAlight, Chris Tomlin, Andrew Peterson and more.

CMT Campfire Sessions – NEEDTOBREATHE

NEEDTOBREATHE recently appeared on CMT Campfire Sessions television series. This album of the band performing nine of their songs unplugged is from that episode. The songs included here span the band’s career, ranging from one of their early favorites “The Outsiders” to “Wasting Time” and “Temporary Tears” from their 2023 album CAVES, my favorite album of last year.

Live from Good Friday – Chris Tomlin

This album features songs from Tomlin’s “Good Friday Nashville” concerts at the Bridgestone Arena. Among the songs included are “Holy Forever”, “How Great is Our God”, “Our God”, “Is He Worthy”, and “Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)”.

To The Limit: The Essential Collection – Eagles

This collection, which will be released April 12, includes 51 songs from the Eagles’ studio albums and live recordings released between 1972 and 2020. All of the band’s best-known songs are included, as well as plenty of fan favorites, including more than a dozen live recordings.

All of My Days – Ellie Holcomb

Ellie Holcomb’s latest project, All of My Days”, a Psalms record, inspired by Psalm 23, will be released April 12.

Mat Kearney – Mat Kearney

Mat Kearney’s self-titled album will be released May 15. I’ve enjoyed several of Kearney’s songs over the past few years.

In Bloom – Jon Foreman

Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman will release his next solo album May 31. About the album, Foreman writes “These are songs that celebrate the unexpected gift of the moment: honest, humble, surprises that came to me while I was busy chasing a different arrival. Maybe every bloom is a surrender of sorts. Rather than obsessing over some imagined destination, this album represents an entirely different pursuit: to stay present to the ever-present gift of each passing moment. Like a wildflower, may these songs bring you beauty and joy as you travel along your journey.”

Other new albums that are coming our way are:

  • Matt Boswell and Matt Papa recorded live at the 2023 Sing! Conference in Nashville.
  • Matt Redman recorded live January 26 at the Beverly Theater in Las Vegas.
  • CityAlight recorded live February 4 at their church, St. Paul’s in Sydney, Australia.
  • Shane and Shane Psalms album to be recorded live in the Holy Land this December.

What new music projects are you looking forward to?
